CEO of the Hub, Prof. Dr. Samir Kc’s presentation in 6th APA Conference (Asian Population Conference) titled “Review of Sub-national Population Projections in South Asia”

The 6th APA Conference (Asian Population Conference) was held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from November 27–30, 2024. The Population and Statistics Research Hub (PSR) Hub team actively participated in the event. The CEO of the Hub, Prof. Dr. Samir Kc, presented his paper titled “Review of Sub-national Population Projections in South Asia” and also served as a session chair.

Additionally, Aayushma K.C. represented PSR Hub with her poster presentation on “Developing a Tool to Track the Well-being of the Nepalese Population.”

The PSR team attended various sessions, gaining meaningful insights into population status, determinants, compositions, climate change, and health issues, with a particular focus on Asian countries. Presentations and poster sessions by both Nepalese and international scholars highlighted key challenges and opportunities in the fields of population research and policy, offering valuable knowledge about Nepal’s demographic issues and research landscape.
