About us

Population and Statistics Research HUB (PSR HUB), also known as “Khoj Nepal,” is a private institution, located in the Kathmandu Valley’s Jhamsikhel area. Our vision is to shape Nepal “Towards well-informed societies” through statistical awareness and creating a Population-based Systems Model (PopSyM). Our primary objective is to establish a robust ‘Statistical System,’ starting with a demographic model at its core. The demographic model provides valuable insights into understanding the change in population’s size and structures such as age, sex, educational attainment, labor force participation, migration status (including absentee population), etc. The structure changes due to various transitions, namely, fertility, mortality, and migration as well as other socio-economic factors.

Additionally, the PopSyM connected to the core model will analyse the demand and consumption patterns of essentials like food, water, electricity, housing, health, and education, while also generating data on sewage, garbage, and more.

At PSR HUB, we specialise in data mapping and visualisation for educational sectors, health sectors, causes of death and morbidity, labour force participation, population and traffic flow, and other population related topics. Our comprehensive model yields multiple indicators crucial for informed decision-making.

We are dedicated to serving as a vital resource for policymakers in governmental, non-governmental, and private sectors at the national, provincial, and municipal levels. We also provide services to organisations, researchers or scholars in statistical services that includes survey design, questionnaire development, data analysis and report writing.

At PSR HUB, we are committed to fostering statistical awareness and building capacity within all provinces and municipalities.
